Walkerburn is a small village in the Tweed Valley. It sits on the A72 some 8 miles from Peebles and 10 miles from Galashiels. Founded in 1854 around the mill to house the workers, Walkerburn now has a population of about 660 souls.
This site is designed to show some of the facets of this beautiful village in the beautiful Scottish Borders. Post Office - we have just heard that the Post Office will be remaining with us! It is not identified as one of those which will be closed. Eric & Evelyn have had a postcard produced which is on sale at 30p. It's been a long time since we had a village postcard.
